What inspired you to work in the video game industry in the first place?
As a child, I was very interested in computers. Ever since then, I’ve wanted to understand how games are made, how graphics are drawn on a screen, and how games react to players.
Over the years, my curiosity has grown along with the complexity and scopes of video games.
What will be your first priority as CTO?
My priority will be to listen, learn, and gather as much information as I can to understand how I can help the company reach its goals.
I will also focus on breaking silos between tech and the game teams and on improving collaboration and efficiency.
What challenge are you most excited to take on as CTO?
I'm always excited about having the opportunity to learn and tackle a variety of new problems. I'm looking forward seeing how I can use my experience and knowledge to help Square Enix across the board.
As CTO, what will you look for in new team members?
I think that what’s most important is finding people who share our culture and vision. We want to be surrounded by colleagues who believe in our way of working and share our goals so that we can all work together - and in the same direction - to achieve them.

What do you like most about living in Montreal?
The diversity that the city offers and the opportunities to discover new places and experiences; from food to sports.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I always like to try new things and different activities, for example, I recently started rock climbing. I also enjoy skiing, attending concerts (when it's possible!), going to movies, and biking during the summer.
What are your favourite video games?
My favorite one - and the one I still play when I have time - is Starcraft, and Starcraft 2.
Top 3 favourite movies ever?
This is a hard one! If I have to choose, I would say Amores Perros, Requiem for a Dream, and The Crow.
